BRAND INFORMATION "house of the very island's....'''

is a cooperation of four individual designers rooted in a network of underground artists, musicians and film-makers in Vienna. A therefore widely influenced notion of clothing is at the heart of our work, that lays it’s formal accents on the bricolage, the deconstruction and reconstruction of given dresscodes. Combining our individual emphasizes, every collection forms a conceptual unity including a short film presented along with it.
Each of us having a specific approach, we nevertheless share basic ideas and believes like the concern with ecological sustainability, with the social and political discourses surrounding us and the profound need to get rid of the stereotypes created by these discourses. The cultural construction of reality and identity, especially the issue of gender and it’s performance is crucial to all our approaches towards a fashion statement. Created through ironic distortions and citational shifts, our clothes are meant to suit all genders and give way to individual expressions.
The question marking the end of the label’s name should be read as a constant appeal, adressed to ourselves and adressing those around us, reminding of the continous challenge, the need to position and re-position ourselves within the margins of fashion and outside of it.

BRAND INFORMATION ''fabrics interseason''

he coordinates of fashion and design in general, contemporary fine arts, cultural history, performance and (electronic) music describe the areas and interfaces, within which ___fabrics interseason locate and position their works and projects. in accordance with their artistic method, the projects, performances and the collections and presentation are based upon concepts which are developed from an intensive research of socio-political discourses and phenomena.
___fabrics interseason are interested in codes, which manifest themselves in individual and collective clothing patterns, in identity-generated values and their readability. the collections do not only function as the analysis of these codes and even the analyses of a live within a surface (with all their socio-political implications); but because of their ability to be worn, they also infiltrate an exclusive and highly individual lifestyle by deliberately proclaiming a critical or political stance. the approach to fabrics, textiles and fashion not only happens on a "superficial" level, the main interests are set on the content and life within a surface.
___fabrics interseason present their collections twice a year during paris pret-a-porter fashion week and continually take part in  international art-exhibitions.

1998年にアーティストWally Salnerにより立ち上げられたウィーンのデザインレーベル。そのバックグラウンドにはアートコーディネーション、文化歴史学、デザイン、演劇、エレクトロニカ、政治、哲学など、様々なものが存在する。社会政治的現象から成るそのコンセプトを抱えたそのコレクションやその独自の手法は、ファッションの世界においてはとうてい考えられないものである。その状況下でfabrics interseasonは、2003年以降のプレタポルテファッションウィークにおいて芸術的なショーを発表し続けている。また、レーベル立ち上げ以来、コレクションのサウンドトラックを手掛けるミュージシャンとの共同作業を行う。
fabrics interseasonは自分たちを表す記号に興味を持つ。それは服のパターンであり、わかりやすいものであり、アイデンティティを生み出す。彼らのコレクションはそういった記号を分析するだけでなく、服の可能性を引き出し、それぞれの特別な日常生活そのものに浸透していく。また、テキスタイルやデザインはうわべだけのものではなく、見かけも含めた生活スタイルを考慮している。
